Simon recently completed four years of specialist training in Periodontology at Guy’s Hospital in London, developing his expertise in the management of complex gum disease and advanced periodontal treatments.
After graduating from the University of Bristol in 2012 with multiple academic prizes, Simon worked in private practice across the City of London and Greater London. He went on to gain Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh before completing a Master of Clinical Dentistry in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics at King’s College London, graduating with distinction as the programme’s youngest graduate.
Simon’s combination of advanced training in both Prosthodontics and Periodontology offers a distinctive approach to complex dental care. Prosthodontics focuses on rebuilding and restoring teeth, while Periodontology focuses on the health and stability of the gums and supporting tissues. By bringing these two disciplines together, Simon can consider the relationship between the teeth, gums and overall function of the mouth, helping to plan comprehensive treatment that supports both oral health and long-term restorative success.
Simon has a particular interest in managing advanced gum disease, gum recession and crown lengthening procedures. His combined experience is especially valuable for patients requiring complex treatment, where healthy periodontal tissues are essential to the success and longevity of dental restorations.
Simon’s priority is to put patients at ease, taking a holistic, preventive approach and tailoring treatment to each individual. He is passionate about helping patients achieve healthy, stable gums and confident smiles through carefully planned, evidence-based care.
Outside dentistry, Simon enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly cycling, running and walking his dog. He is looking forward to relocating to Gloucestershire and returning to the West of England.
